Sharing the content on a website is an important part of the publicity plan for a business. If a business produces content, then they probably have produced that content for public consumption. Therefore, a business should use the content to generate greater interest through the social media systems. This increases the number of followers who may convert into buyers of the product or service.
Content is the lifeblood of the internet. In fact, there would be no reason to have the internet if there was no content on the systems. Therefore, a business needs to create as much content as possible to promote their products or services. A business with a lot of content does better on the SERPs than those businesses that do not have content.
The search engines make judgment calls on businesses based on the content that they place on their websites and the amount of that content. What is even more telling is that they are in the business of ranking businesses based on how the user reacts to their content. If a user goes to a website and does not return to the search engine after viewing that websites, then that is a good indication of a good website in the search engine's eyes. However, if a searcher returns to the search engine to repeat the search then the search engine knows that the web page failed to deliver what the searcher was looking for in the first place. Therefore, they will not rank that site higher in the SERPs.
Content determines a lot of things on the internet. Content determines how a site will rank on the search engines. Content also decides how much authority a page has (based on people's willingness to link to that page and how long a user stays on a page after finding it). Therefore, it is smart for a business to create good quality content.
Content is the great equalizer in the internet search wars. Those sites that have real content that was meant for the user to read will always do better in search than those sites that have created content to trick the SERPs. When a website creates great content, they increase the visibility of what website. The search engine increases the rank of that website and the number of individuals who are aware of the business increases. This extra traffic means extra sales and revenue for that business.
In conclusion, a business that wants to be relevant on the social media systems needs to share the content they create. This is especially helpful because the SERPs are always looking for good quality content that people like to read on a daily basis. Therefore, a business that focuses on creating good content and sharing that content will do better in the SERPs because they are writing for the end users and the not the search engines themselves. This means that the site is high quality and the search engines are more than happy to show that site as a search engine result.
