Hi everyone.
I just wanted to write a brief article about internet marketing, some of the mistakes to avoid and over my next few articles some of the tools you will need. Some of these tools are free but most will need to be paid for.
First and foremost What is internet marketing? Quite simply it is using the internet to advertise and sell products.
These could be products you own or somebody else`s product. It can be a physical product or a digital product.
Physical products could be almost anything, from vitamins to CDs or even cars. Yes you can buy anything on the internet.
Digital products are products that you can get as a download over the internet. If you have ever brought a music track for your phone or mp3 player then you have already brought a digital product! Most digital products are informational. If you have a skill then you can tap into your knowledge base and and write an informational product, for example if your a chef and you have a unique recipe you could write it down the method on how to make and cook the recipe then you could market it and sell it as a digital down load.
Of course there is the other option of selling other peoples products, this is known as affiliate marketing. There are webpages you can visit and become a member of for free. ClickBank or commission junction to name two. These sites have literally thousands of products on them which you can promote (advertise) for sale. You sell the products for a commission. Sometimes for up to 75% of the overall price! The good thing about this is you don`t have to talk with any customers, you don`t have to store any products, and you don`t have the expense of buying the stock initially... a win win situation.
Now when you first start to dip your toes in the water of internet marketing, other internet marketers will start promoting to you. They will offer you the shiny two click system, that will sell anything anytime. Or the sign ten people up under you and sit back and watch the money roll in... not.So be warned and beware there are a lot of un-scrupulus people on the internet that will take your money and run..I know because I was caught! I want people to know these systems don`t work. What you need is to find an internet marketer that is willing to help you to mentor you. Success is there but it takes a lot of hard work and study. The best investment you can make is in your yourself in your own knowledge.
MLM companies are numerous, unfortunately a lot of them are just a form of pyramid selling, that has no real product and are illegal. As the law catches up with them they are shut down and your hard earned cash is lost. Be very careful where and with whom you invest your time and money, after all your time and money is very precious.
