You may be new this. But you can start off being So very TRUE to it also. One of the easiest way to really get into your business is to start actually documenting your goals. Start making those goals come alive for you.
Start looking at where you are actually trying to get. What goal do you need to reach? Starting treating each part of your business as a road map. Get your business GPS working.
Shouldn't be that difficult really.
When we are thinking in complex terms, and have this complex problem... Like How are we going to get these 50,000 subscribers? Sometimes it pays to simplify things. As a professional Contact List Builder I learned a nice strategy I use to keep track of and to reach my goals.
The first major thing that helped me begin to start making progress in my business was to set some concrete goals and to start mapping goals within my business.
You know the story unless you know where you are going you won't know when you get there. I don't necessarily agree with that. When I get to a nice chunk of change in my account I know that I have arrived safely. But for the most part it is true though it has really just become one of those often mentioned cliches, that really don't have teeth anymore.
But I can attest to the fact that once I started placing the proverbial line in the sand, and picking an exact destination that I wanted to reach my thoughts became clearer.
Since I knew where I wanted to go here was less to distract me from that place.
My GPS once I input the destination it will take me straight to where I want to go. It wont have me wandering around on a sightseeing mission like a tourist. It will suggest the quickest routes possible.
So what I do is find out exactly what I need to do in my business I research a couple of different ways to achieve what needs to be done. Then I map out the time, and the turns necessary to arrive.
Its great once you get into the habit of doing this. It also helps to show you when you are not getting the results you expect.
My business has now become my personal GPS to my professional destination. I follow it ruthlessly.
Since I have all the directions in front of me I am free to learn while I am getting to where I need to be. I am growing proficient in maintaining and growing my business. Everything is deliberate. Nothing haphazard and left to chance.
While you are mapping your trip you will want to make sure you have enough gas in the tank to get to your destination. So while you map your journey you need to make sure your budget, time and money are in sufficient supply.
What will be your vehicle of choice? Are you taking a snazzy BMW or are you going classic American. What are the pros and cons of each?
My sales funnel and site is my vehicle and I like to keep them purring with sweet content and advertisements.
I also like to use a all types of marketing strategies not just one in particular. I like to create media blitzes. This is why my road map is so important for me. It keeps me on track as to what the next step should be at all times.
I also like to use more than one advertising source a time. This means I am constantly testing to find out which sources offer the best bang for my dollar.
I have a separate tracking sheet for each source so I know exactly when I should be submitting my advertisements to them.
I bookmark everything but I also keep hard files. Computer crashes suck.
Have fun with each part of your business. The fact that you have a road map makes it easier for you to veer off to the side of the road to stop in at a rest stop and then easily reroute and be back on track again.
This probably all seems so basic. But trust me when many of us get online to start doing business all Business 101 gets thrown out the window and we begin to freestyle our days. Most of us will accomplish nothing this way. I sure didn't.
Look at the big picture You know where you want to go so start making a map to get there quicker.
